Dim Sum on a Weekend

0

Weekend loomed and so our housemates decided to have a dim sum breakfast feast at Northbridge, Perth.

Dim sum is a luxury here and thus, we were naturally pretty upbeat about it.

Percy, FangYu, Vian and I departed from home around 11 a.m. and met up with Jess along the way as we switched from bus to train to get to the city.

It was a sunny day and everyone were decked out in their stylish sunnies.

We were supposed to meet Kason in the city but he couldn't make it, so eventually it will only be the 5 of us.

There was quite a queue outside the restaurant by the time we arrived and so we took some photos while biding our time.

10 mins or so later, we were called and were led to the 1st floor where I supposed the KTV lounge is located. 3 big plasma screens adorned the wall where the local ang mohs and Asians alike were seemingly indulging in scrumptious dim sum selections.

We were being seated on a huge rectangular table and it was almost impossible to have a decent conversation as Vian and I were seated at one end while the 3 of them were at the other end.

Not to mention the noise from the crowd almost drowned out every spoken word.

After a hearty brunch, it's time to do some workout a.k.a. shopping in the city.

We were sauntering and then went into Myer's departmental store.

Was delighted to find that Ralph Lauren was having Sale with discount up to 30%. But was quickly disappointed that the cuttings and fits of the shirts were mostly two sizes larger - even for me! Imagine a S-sized shirt looking more like a XL shirt. Utter disappointed! Sigh...

Nevertheless, Vian managed to bought some tops and clothes so we didn't really went back empty-handed.

With Mother's Day and Father's Day approaching, perhaps it's time to set some money aside to buy gifts for our parents back home. Too bad that the Sale only lasted until this Sunday.

We spent the rest of the day shopping, strolling, taking photos, reading magazines in Borders, until the sun almost set.

Vian loved the scenery above when the sun is setting so she asked me to take a picture of her.
We later regrouped with FY, Percy and Jess before heading home.

Weekend in Perth is more of a luxury rather than a routine.
